President Donald J. Trump

The White House

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW

Washington, DC 20500

Dear President Trump,

My name is Ray Uhric. I am a declared candidate for President of the United States. You can visit my campaign websites at rayuhric.org and an older website at Ray Uhric Blogspot. Do you remember that I ran against you in 2016? I challenged you to a debate, but I never heard anything from you. I guess this means I won the debate by default.

Today I challenge you again to a debate. This challenge also applies to anybody in your administration. My policy proposals are clearly explained on both of my websites. If you or your staff disagree with any of my policy proposals, put your objections in writing and send them to my post office box. My contact is: Committee to Elect Ray Uhric, PO Box 15, Crescent, PA 15046-0015.

As a conservative Republican, you claim to be opposed to wasteful government spending. I am a populist Democrat, and I also oppose wasteful government spending. Would you agree that an unnecessary war is, by definition, wasteful government spending? Your unprovoked war with Iran is wasteful because Iran posed no threat to the United States. Iran is a threat to Israel. Wouldn't that make Iran Israel's problem? Why is Israel's Zionist war America's war? Who provoked this deadly struggle between America and Iran? What does the historical record tell us?

In 1953, the CIA, with help from Britain's MI6, overthrew Iran's democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh in order to privatize Iran's oil industry. In 1980, the U.S. backed Iraq with material support during the Iran-Iraq War, which resulted in enormous loss of life. Most Muslims never accepted a Jewish state on Muslim Palestinian land. This started a Jewish/Muslim war in 1948 that continues to this day. America is increasingly caught in a quagmire of violent conflict in their war with Iran. From Iran's perspective, America and Israel's hostility toward the United States cannot be said to be unprovoked. How does this war with Iran benefit the American people? It doesn't. My peace proposal for Palestine can be found on my rayuhric.org website in my March 6, 2026 update titled "Peace in Palestine."

In 2003, we were told that Iraq's weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) were a deadly threat to the United States and this "justified" the Iraq War. But there were no WMDs. Thus, the war was unnecessary, and therefore the war was wasted government spending. There is a vitally important question that must be answered: When did American politicians know there were no WMDs? Why did no politician file articles of impeachment against George W. Bush and Dick Cheney for lying to Congress and the American people about non-existent weapons of mass destruction BEFORE the Iraq war vote in Congress? This could have prevented the Iraq War. Impeachment would have made Nancy Pelosi the first woman president in American history. How many tax dollars were wasted fighting the Iraq War? How much of our global military footprint is actually unnecessary for America's national security? How much imperial overseas government spending is piled onto our exploding national debt? Of course, the death, destruction, human suffering, and hatred caused by the unnecessary war are incalculable.

Contrary to the economic fantasy of Modern Monetary Theory (MMT), if the current exponential rate of increase of the national debt continues, it will ultimately bankrupt the country. However, before that inevitable currency crisis destroys the national and global economies—as happened in 1929 and 2007/2008—drastic measures (austerity) will be imposed on the American people to service the debt. What does austerity mean? Anything good that the government can and does do for the GENERAL WELFARE of the American people will be slashed and given to the "Bond Vigilantes." I bolded the words "general welfare" because it is a clause of the U.S. Constitution. When that happens, savings will be given to the "Bond Vigilantes" to appease their wrath. America's land, minerals, timber, and infrastructure will be sold off, and the proceeds will be used to service the national debt. Does any American remember that one of Donald Trump's campaign proposals was a scheme to "pay off" the national debt this way? This rip-off comes on top of billions of tax dollars that are wasted servicing the actually unnecessary national debt.

Are we destined to be debt slaves until the debt burden destroys the country, as we see in Japan? No, if we are smart. The first thing we can do is read the United States Constitution and see that Congress can coin money, regulate the value thereof, and regulate the value of foreign coin. What does it mean to coin money? To coin money means to create it, to print money. This is exactly what was done with the Legal Tender Act of 1862. Approximately four hundred fifty million dollars of debt-free United States Notes (U.S. Notes) supplied the Union and saved America from destruction. At the time, America was on the gold standard, but there wasn't enough gold to back the Union currency. The spurious objection that "printing money" causes inflation is debunked by our Constitution and by history. Raising prices just because there is more money in circulation than real goods is "Greed Inflation." This devalues the dollar under our current system, but the Constitution says Congress controls the value of the dollar, not the currency markets. Thus, Congress has the authority to intervene and defend the dollar against Greed Inflation.

Today, U.S. Notes can save the country from national bankruptcy. I've been trying to make this happen during my twenty-year political career without success. I was stonewalled, slow-walked, and obstructed every step of the way. When I began my twenty-one-year political career, the national debt was seven trillion dollars. Today it is thirty-eight trillion and exploding exponentially. My plan, if I am elected president, will be to use U.S. Notes to pay down the national debt without disrupting the financial markets.

Mr. President, what is your position on the issue of using U.S. Treasury-issued United States Notes to pay down the national debt?

Sincerely,

Ray Uhric
